CUNCOLIM: Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude has lauded Artist Laxman Pai and Goan nightingale Lorna for making Goa proud in the field of art and culture.
Addressing the World Konkani Day function Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, the minister called Laxman and Lorna as “Diamonds of Goa.”
The World Konkani Day function is organised by Music Mafia in association with Margao Ravindra Bhavan.
On the occasion, Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai felicitated Laxman Pai, Lorna, Prashant Naik and other dignitaries.
Further, Gaude said that artists and sports persons have always been at the forefront in bringing laurels to the tiny Goa.
“Our government is trying to provide platform to budding artists by introducing various schemes and programs. Laxman pai and Lorna are our gems and it is our duty to appreciate such mighty artists,” he said.
He also complimented organisers for felicitating great personalities.
