PANJIM: Appointing Narendra Modi as the campaign manager for the forthcoming assembly polls will sound the death knell for the state BJP, Nationalist Congress Party has said.
“Appointing a person with known credentials such as Modi will be opposed by people of all communities in Goa. Chief Minister Parrikar himself was careful to ensure that Modi was in no way involved in the campaign in Goa in the run up to the elections,” spokesperson Trajano D’Mello said.
Pitching in the already volatile atmosphere of the voices for and against the candidature of Modi as campaign manager and further as a PM candidate, the NCP said that declaration of Modi would be a final nail in the coffin of BJP.
