Chinchinim villagers on Sunday celebrated the feast of our Lady of Good Hope, with traditional pomp and religious fervour.
Chinchinim wore a festive look as thousands of people from across Salcete thronged the village to take part in the festivities.
Fr Agnelo Pinheiro, Prof Rachol seminary was the main celebrant of the concelebrated high mass.
In his homily, Fr Pinheiro exhorted the faithful to imbibe the Christian values and recalled how Mother Mary lived a life as per the Gospel teachings.
