PANJIM: Following criticism and posts on social media stating that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was not signing files, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo recently said he has seen the CM signing files.
“It is evident that he was not signing (files) for some time. But at that time, he was not well. Now, he has started signing files,” Lobo said.
Lobo said that when the chief minister was admitted in the US hospital and at AIIMS there was no possibility of sending the files to the hospital. “Today, he is in a position to sign and he has started signing all the files. I have seen him signing in front of me 10 files,” he said.
The deputy speaker said the chief minister was also addressing meetings with MLAs and officers concerned at his private residence.
Congress on Saturday had criticised the government and questioned the legality of the CM’s decision to allow the Chief Secretary and the Principal Secretary to sign files on his behalf.
