With
Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor passing away within 24 hours of each other is
devastating for the Hindi film industry as well as millions of fans world over.
Both actors known for their versatility and spontaneity have created a void
that can never be filled.

real shock to have two phenomenal actors pass away in two successive days.

Goa
based hospitality professional Joe Mascarenhas who knew Rishi Kapoor personally
shared, “Double blow, two stalwarts went in two days. Irrfan was one of my
favourite actors. Loved his acting in The Lunch box and Talwar.
Rishi
was affectionately known to us Campionites as Chintu and he was my dear friend.
Remember him taking all his close buddies for the premiere of Bobby @ METRO and
gave us a treat fit for VIPs with popcorn snacks and Coke. He loved acting and
dramatics. He was also very naughty in class but got away with his
charming smile.
Mascarenhas
said he met his old class buddy years later “when I was in Taj Holiday Village
as GM”. He said that Neetu his wife and mother of current Bollywood superhero
Ranbir Kapoor wanted to know all about his schooldays. We had a memorable
lunch, which was so nostalgic and full of memories. May their beautiful souls
move towards the light and rest in everlasting peace. Heartfelt sympathy and
deepest condolences to Neetu and Ranbir.”

Rishi
Kapoor, incidentally, has a strong emotional connection to Goa. After
all, Bobby, a film that defines the romantic genre of
Bollywood was shot almost entirely in Goa and so was Saagar.
Irfaan
Khan, too loved Goa and he was here for the inauguration of the 43rd International
Film Festival in Goa, where his Oscar-Winning film The Life of PI was
screened
