Mapusa: A house owned by one Louis D’souza was damaged in fire owing to LPG cylinder blast on Wednesday evening.
The Police Control Room received call at 5.50 pm about a cylinder blast at Damedem Mansher at Tivim. Immediately a team of Mapusa fire station rushed to the spot. The owner suffered losses the tune of Rs 90,000, while the fire fighters managed to save property worth Rs 20,000.

In the fire, one wooden cupboard, utensils, television set, roof rafters all were gutted.
The Mapusa fire team consisted of Anand V Naik, Yogesh Amonkar, Akshay S sawant and Vishnu P Korgaonkar.
