Benaulim constituency RO summons Mickky

The Returning Officer for the Benaulim Assembly Constituency has issued notice to Benaulim MLA Francisco Mickky Pacheco to appear before him on Thursday morning in connection with the hearing of the petition filed by Calvert Gonsalves.
Gonsalves had filed the complaint before the Chief Electoral Officer alleging that Pacheco had filed his nomination papers from Benaulim constituency and had filed affidavits giving false information about his educational qualification.
The court of the Returning Officer has asked both Pacheco and Calvert to file their replies, if any, alongwith all the relevant documents and to appear in the court in person or through his duly authorized agent.
The Returning officer has said that the matter will be heard and determined in their absence if the complainant and respondent fails to remain present in the court.
