Happiness in today’s era should be kept simple and revolve
around the fact that you are alive, fed, have a roof above your head, social
Security, family and friends and the opportunity to pursue meaningful goals or
objectives on a daily basis
– Ryan Rodrigues, Entrepreneur, Margao
I am glad to
know that there is a day dedicated to happiness. In times like these a small
reminder goes a long way as on 2020, 40% of Indians suffered from depression
and some kind of anxiety. What makes me happy is a simple house party or time
spent with my friends or family with good music and conversations, a simple run
on the beach with my husky puppies or definitely when my marketing ideas help a
brand perform well. It all depends on my mood and situations.
– Swapnaa Puujari, Marketing professional, Dona Paula
Being with
nature is like experiencing a miracle and that makes me happy. Plants not only
purify the air we breathe they also help connect us with nature and are proven
to reduce stress and contribute to our overall wellness. Gardening for me is a
passion that only grew with time and now it not only keeps me happy and helps
me spread happiness through my entrepreneurial venture. For me true happiness
is exploring areas that spark interest, develop one’s skills in a specific
area, and use those skills to contribute to something beyond yourself.
Providing a collection of planters which come in rainbow colours, plants which
give healing experience all adds up to the happiness that we strive for day in
and day out. Come, plant seeds of happiness and it will come back to you in
abundance.

Covid has
awakened in me the importance of every moment in my life. Happiness for me now
is in participating wholeheartedly in every activity that I do. It is in identifying
my priorities, making time for me and enjoying the little joys of life.
– Pallavi Arondekar, Corporate Executive, St Inez Panaji
For me
happiness is always listening to my heart and doing the things which I love the
most. I love being around my family cuz everything around them feels so light
and stress free, to follow my heart at every tiny step. At this stage, I feel
happy as I am able to put in all my efforts to achieve the things I always
wanted to.
– Shreya Patil, Mapusa, corporate executive, Mapusa
What makes me
happy is being surrounded by people I love and care about, who I share good
vibes with. Pursuing my passions like teaching, singing, modelling and acting
also makes me very happy. Good food is a shortcut to my happiness and I’m sure
the same applies to many people. So on the occasion of World Happiness Day, I
highly recommend that people go and grab their favourite food to get a boost of
happiness. Also getting good sleep ensures a happy mood. I believe that happy
thoughts will turn into happy words, and happy actions.
– Joanne da Cunha, Model, Actress and Singer, Porvorim
My Motto
“unconditional service with a smile” makes me happy and gives me great
satisfaction to see the smiles on people’s faces whenever I serve them in any
way that I can.

of Candolim / Master of Ceremonies / Event Planner
Happiness is
fickle. You can have it entirely and then lose it just as easily. All you need
is good people in your life whom you can share what is happening in your life.
When you share your happiness it is doubled and when you share your sorrows
they’re halved.
