A thought provoking affair

Pascoal de Chicalim’s tiatr ‘Anj Boddvo’ revolves around Peter (Rahul), his wife Felcy (Succorin) and his handicap brother Melvin (Francis). Peter has his aged father Charlie (Justiniano) residing with him.

Trouble sets in when Peter, who serves as an advocate, gets an assistant Simran (Jasmine), who is the daughter of Sultan (Pascoal de Chicalim). He begins to ignore his wife and seeks company and friendship of Simran.

Extra-marital ties upset Felcy and the entire family. Peter’s father and his wife try their level best to convince him, but to no avail. But there’s a hidden agenda behind Sultan and his daughter’s involvement with Peter’s family. What’s the secret? Why the vengeance? Watch the show to understand the suspense.

As always, Justiniano gives his best to whatever role provided to him. As handicaps, Francis and Arnold da Costa excel. Francis and Succorin are comfortable as husband and wife. Jasmine stands out in her role as a villain. She’s a promising artiste on the tiatr stage. Walter delivers well as an inspector. Watch child artiste, Velbe for her performance.

Julius, Celeste, Agnelo, Joyel and Dorothy provide a good dose of laughter. Songs by Edward, Rons, Silva de Benaulim, Joyel and Agnel, Jasmine, Velbe are thought-provoking. Although there are new faces among the musicians, there could have been improvement in the music. Agustine and Romeo have given their best with regards the light effects.
