An art exhibition by talented artists : Dr. Sunil Kakodkar and Leandra Rodrigues at Ravindra
Bhavan, Margao, was inaugurated by Sonia Shirsat, renowned singer and Fadista .
Both the artists have professional backgrounds but find solace and peace
through their paintings.
Sunil
paints with water colours while Leandra is into abstract art with acrylics.
Sonia
Shirsat mentioned that having a creative pass time is very therapeutic
especially in the second innings in life when professional and personal
obligations are met and you find yourself with time on your hands, it is an
escape when stress takes over.

Sunil said that
painting has now progressed from being a weekend hobby to a full time
obsession. He is fascinated by the fluidity of water colours and paints in this
medium.
Leandra paints
abstract art with acrylics. For her art has helped maintain inner peace and
mindfulness and that she loves working with textures and the how art makes her
feel.
Ravindra
Bhavan Margao Chairman, Prashant Naik, spoke of Goa’s famous artists – Gaitonde
& FM Souza. He said it’s necessary in today’s stressful lifestyle that
everyone has a hobby that keeps them content and occupied.
