Ivor is not a new name in the Goan music industry. A versatile solo singer-songwriter from Varca, Bryan
has been in the field of music for over two decades and has enthralled
audiences all over India as well as overseas with his brilliant performances of
music covering numerous genres. He has released a new gospel song called ‘Hold
my Hand’, a song that connected with the audience through its lyrics and
melody.
‘Hold my Hand’ is a song that helps us to
connect to our loved ones in heaven. Bryan Ivor has been part of the music
industry for 20 years – the first decade as the lead singer of many popular
bands in Goa and as a solo artiste for the last thirteen years. He also has to
his credit his original singles ‘Come on F C Goa’ and ‘Viva Sao Joao’.
“This was a song packed with emotion for me personally and I’m
glad the people could feel and connect to the emotion in the song,” says Bryan.
He has done a marvellous job with his soulful voice, singing the song ‘Hold my
Hand’.

The lyricist of the song, Rolita Pires, who is married to Bryan,
says, “Hold my hand is a song that I wrote in memory of my late father, Mr
Romeo Pires. The song helps one to connect to their loved ones in heaven.”
Bryan
composed the music for the song and approached Grayston Vaz, Goa’s renowned
lead guitarist, to arrange the music for the song. Grayston, having lost his
father around the same time, connected very strongly to the lyrics of the song,
and arranged the music with some delicate guitar work that is very striking in
the song. Later, the soul-stirring violin was added by violin maestro Victor Da
Costa, played very beautifully on screen in the video by a very talented violin
player, Deepti Coutinho. The piano motifs were played beautifully by ace keyboard
player Ignatius Rodrigues.
