Being born a woman

Celebrating feminism has attracted importance in our nation over the years.

The hype over the episode of merriment is at display with attractive purchase offers, organized events and extraordinary treatment for few hours on that particular day. But is it so simple being born as a woman in our nation? Ask the ones out there.
Attractive display occasionally doesn’t side line instances of sufferings encountered on daily occasions. With  passage of time we have indeed to a degree accepted women with pride and dignity, have managed to share space on professional front, agreed to acknowledge her presence in the society and let her evolve with happenings but we have failed to let her endure independently and credit her selfless contribution.
Standing, a man shares is not equivalent to that of a woman though his position is pillared by one. She is appreciated with frail words but the credit is indeed grabbed by the man without highlighting the contribution made in silence. We fail to realise and recognize dues to every woman who contributes as a wife, daughter, in-law, sister, friend, colleague or any other role she undertakes.
Today our country promotes girl education and women empowerment through schemes and reservation. But does it really help? Is cash reward on birth of a girl child and reservation of seats to let the woman up the ladder in position make her compatible and strong to stand at par with the male dominated society? Absolutely not. No woman is asking for special attention and reserved seats but she does want to be acknowledged  for her work, take credit for her doings, be appreciated and not be sympathized. She is asking for an opportunity and not favour to incline and progress. She is not thirsty for sustenance but she is wants to be shielded from speculations and negative frame of minds.
But this is far from happening as our nation prides a woman in every era and aspect of life but she is pulled off from the chain of success just because she is born to the gender, which is considered less superior to that of man. Her every footing and step towards progress is backed with a reminder that she is a woman. If she is one than I sure she is aware of the fact that she is one. You need not repeat and tell her that. But being woman is not a boundary for a dreams. It is not the end of her progress.
We appreciate a woman, educate her, let her progress but if she make a pick of the kind and type of professional field she wishes to prosper, if she desires to progress in her work, stay out or even step out in the dark, decide for her against the family than she is bracketed to be the evil. Our façade of appreciation is limited only until she functions within the boundaries set by the man, the society and the other woman. It is true that other woman is as accountable as the other factors are for degradation and humiliation of a women.
The race isn’t about being at par or superior amongst the sexual category. It is about pride and respect, liberty to every being out there irrespective of their gender.
