The decision to implement pay parking in Campal is a step in the right direction. This will bring about some much needed order in the area. What puzzles me is why the residents of the area will be allowed free parking. Almost all the residents in this area have private garages and large compounds to park their vehicles. They use the public roads for parking as a matter of convenience. I don’t think anyone will deny this simple fact.
In this day and age convenience comes at a price. I am sure most of the residents will not find Rs 600 a month too much to pay for this convenience.
I urge the residents to voluntarily offer to pay for parking on the road like all other citizens. As an incentive the CCP can publish the names of the residents who opt to forego this special privilege. I will pay for the advertisement.
Come on people of Campal show us that you are not above others and pay for parking. Show us your public spirit. Are you’ll up to it? Hopefully one good fallout of this decision will be the removal of those hideous pots and heaps of leaves in this area.
