Amit Shah’s response to the Catholic MLA’s grievances shows the latter have no voice in the party. When Shah visited Shillong last month, he was greeted by protesters eating beef on the lawns of the Raj Bhavan. Shah’s immediate response was that there would be no cow slaughter ban in the State. Here Shah says there will be no all India ban on cow slaughter.
Regarding special status, like Subramniam Swamy said, no special status. He also said you cannot stop anyone buying land in the country. Well, they can actually stop sale of land until there is a foolproof method to stop the use of black money in land deals. But will they?
Other grievances were brushed aside and the noise made by the MLAs was to just pull the wool over the eyes of Goans. It is clear that having the above MLAs in the BJP does no good for Catholics.
