I can understand the hue and cry over the remark made by the VHP leader regarding Mother Teresa. If the Government was serious about protecting the constitution of India, they should have arrested the leader by now for creating communal disharmony among the Indians because Mother Teresa was an Indian citizen and winner of prestigious awards of India and also an international award.
The VHP leader should be treated as an anti-national and due punishment should be meted to him as per Indian Penal Code.
But I do not think the Government should take such a decision against the VHP leader as it would have gone against the command of Jesus Christ whom Mother Teresa was following. Jesus Christ said that if anyone hits you on the right cheek, you should offer him your left cheek. In other words Jesus said to love your enemies, do good to those who persecute you.
Therefore we should win over the VHP leader by our love for him and not by hate. True followers of Jesus Christ should not seek vengeance because God says vengeance is mine.

Crimes against humanity
Two days back a friend of mine sent me an e-mail with four chilling pictures of children being killed by the ISIS.
In one picture about a dozen, very young children, are lying down in a row with a gunman at one end, aiming at them; in the second one, five or six children are piled one over the other ready to be killed; third one shows a child being crucified, and the last one, the most chilling of all the four shows a man with a gun nearly poking the tender and innocent face of a terrified child whose eyes reveal all the terror through which the child is going.
How can the humanity tolerate these brutalities in the twenty-first Century? What are the people who killed Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi doing about the brutalities of these rabid madmen?
And what about our country? A deafening silence from the Government! And what about the media? And the Church? Do these crimes against humanity not merit at least a candle light procession?
Will history forgive our generation for these crimes against humanity?

Scary development
It is scary that another Islamic sect, Nigeria’s Boka Haram, is following in the footsteps of the dreaded ISIS and is posting gory images of humans being put to the sword.
Reminiscent of footage from Islamic State (IS) the film shows militants standing behind two men on their knees, their hands tied behind their backs, with one man standing over them, holding a knife. It is a matter of concern that the militants who have killed thousands and kidnapped hundreds in their bid to carve out an Islamist state in their homeland are beginning to spread their tentacles far and wide and have infiltrated into Cameroon, Chad and Niger.
The international community led by the United States should up the ante in the war against terror and eliminate these elements before it gets worse.

Devils in disguise
We have come to a state where we have to face the monster we have created.
The Congress was shown the exit in the assembly and with great hope
we staged the BJP to see “Achee Din”, but what have we achieved through that?
We made ourselves jump from the frying pan into the fire.
The time has come for each and every Goan to teach this arrogant Saffron Party that we are Goans and we don’t like to be dictated as to what we have eat, which religion we have to follow or change our traditions. If we have had peace in Goa
for decades that is because we have always lived with the spirit of Goan brotherhood.
The poison has started to spread in Goa to sow the seed of religious conflict, we as Indians are well aware of the Britishers “Divide & Rule” policy but this Saffron Party is much smarter to use it as a tool by dividing and creating a conflict of religion & custom amongst us.
