MPT Chairman states that people are opposing Marinas because they have no idea about it”, a known fact that the politicians along with non-Goan business houses has looted Goa in name of development, our villages and beaches has been taken over by hoteliers, our land is captured by land sharks and industrialists creating employment for Non Goans, MPT has given coal jetty to private party generating employment to outsiders.
Goans have lost their land, made to breathe polluted air and drink contaminated water due to industrial estates, hoteliers release their waste into our rivers, Goans bear the heat and non-Goans make the hay, MPT chairman should make a research of pollution caused by anchored vessels within his bound which do not comply with marine annex’s but still operate within MPT limits and produce all fake garbage and sewage disposal certificates. Marinas will turn Goa into dump yard of waste and garbage, tourism in Goa has been known for gambling, prostitution, drugs etc, and the marina with high end tourists will be not different they will be the followers of same present tourism. Goans have suffered enough. It is time to hit back.
