The recent episode where the members elected representative where given first preference at Exposition at Old Goa did not came as a surprise to me.
I don`t totally blame the politicians for seeking first preference because it is in our state that politicians like to be treated like somebody special or are treated that way on every public occasion.
We are mostly ourselves to be blamed for giving them to such a high respect. We want them to be chief guests at every soccer or cricket tournament . We invite them to raise toast even for our weddings and other occasions, we give them high respect even at times of funerals.
Even at Christmas program that we organizes in Goa we make sure that our elected representative even at grass root level is given a center stage just because they give few thousand rupees as donation but never question from where that money is coming from.
Come on Goans at least in coming Panjim bye-election lets elect a clean candidate also in this festive coming season of Christmas lets celebrate Christmas in true spirit by not taking any donation from corrupt politician or self claimed social worker.
