Panjim bus terminus

It must be said that the inter-state bus terminus at Patto Plaza in the capital city Panaji is in a pathetic condition. If work on this important bus terminus is scheduled to be carried out, then it should have ideally been completed well before the tourist season commenced, specially as Goa was host to two mega events namely the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which has just concluded and the exposition of the sacred relics of St. Francis Xavier which is going on.
The festive Christmas season is round the corner when thousands of people from different parts of the country will be descending on Goa. As of now the bus terminus does not have proper roads. The large amount of dust that is generated with the movement of vehicles on the dusty roads causes inconvenience to the commuters.
People are seen relieving in the open in the absence of toilets. The entrance to the bus-stand is narrow and the massive multi-axle buses find it difficult to negotiate the turn while entering and leaving the bus terminus. Hopefully the work on this important inter-state bus terminus at Patto Plaza will commence in right earnest.
