I appreciate the great efforts put up by the Goa Police, Goa Home Guards, the medical team, the Kadamba Transport Corporation, the Goa Fire Service, all the other volunteers not forgetting the presence of Maharashtra Police at the 17th exposition of the Sacred Relics of our own ‘Goemcho Saib’.
I salute all the above mentioned authorities who are sincerely carrying out their duties and also the ones who are not sincere.
I also appreciate the last moment tarring of the road at Mandur even though the road caused severe traffic chaos on the December 26 and 27. The tarring could have been planned much earlier but our authorities are known for such poor planning so it should not be an issue. How can I forget to appreciate the politicians who use their power to avoid standing in long queues in order to kiss the sacred relics of Goemcho Saib? If such people can’t sacrifice an hour to stand in a line to kiss the sacred Relics, what better sacrifices we can expect from such people for Goa and Goemkars? Anyway Goemchea Saiba bless them!
I appreciate the good people of Goa who don’t obey traffic rules and the Police causing traffic chaos. Most of the traffic problems not just in Old Goa but the entire Goa is just because of our bad driving and our ignorant attitude. Some of us don’t even know to respect the Zebra Crossing. We all are always in a hurry but can’t understand hurry for what? A word of appreciation for the general public who care damn about others. We all want the bus to move once we board the free bus at the parking station. If the driver waits for few minutes for other devotees, many a times the bus driver even receives abuses from one of us. Is this the way we are supposed to behave at a holy place?
There was a case on the November 28 after the 3.45 pm mass, the KTC driver while proceeding to Ella farm parking station missed the left turn by mistake as he was using the said route for the first time and returned back to the Church. What an ugly show was created by abusing the driver who politely accepted his mistake by the so called devotees who were returning back home after attending the holy mass. Is this our devotion?
A word of appreciation also for those who dump the garbage at the parking station after having their snacks/meals.
From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank the people associated with the Ella farm who always offer the property for parking during the novenas of our Goemcho Saib. Hope the government will take care of the so called Bakia property under the possession of the Goa government which is used as another parking station. Hope the people in power will not make any deal with the builders with regard to the Bakia property because our past governments are always been very helpful to builders.
Goemchea Saiba, Save Goa!
