It is very heartening to see that more than the negative that is happening, we have some very positive, good, human beings, who think in a balanced way. They are reminders that we are here on earth as members of the earth community, and religions are only paths to the God we believe in. I was so overwhelmed to read the letter by Satyajit Prabhudessai, wherein he tries to enlighten us, the good citizens of India that we are called to have a big heart and recognize the good work different people do to uplift the poor and thus engage in works of Mercy such as the work done by the Missionaries of Charity of India. Hats off to you for the courage to put on paper your noble thoughts and your deep appreciation of the works that is done not only of the Missionaries of charity of India but of all people of good will… . It is said when we need a blood transfusion we don’t go looking for Muslim, Christian or Hindu blood, but for ‘blood’ that is who we all are, human beings created in the image of God. It is rightly said pen is mightier than the sword. After all, there are people “of good will” with a heart that embraces all and are Angels of peace
Yes, after all we are all Indians! And this should be our slogan. Indians we are, who have had great leaders who believed in Humanity and dignity of human beings and living in harmony, that will promote the well being of every citizen that, has a right to the earth’s goods given to us by the creator that every child has a right to be taken care of to be educated, and brought up as an enlightened citizen and a good human being, who will make a difference leave foot prints like Abdul Kalam , Mahatma, Mother Teresa a few to be mentioned.
