Race for the US Presidential polls

What could be considered as the most bitter campaign for the Presidential poll of the United States of America, will come to an end as citizens of the country will be voting for a new President in a few days from now.

It has indeed been a see-saw battle during the campaign as both the Presidential nominees, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton have had an edge over each other in the past.
The latest poll showed a tightening race with Hillary Clinton’s edge over Donald Trump shrinking and a few voters remain undecided. It is probably these undecided voters who will decide who the next President of the US will be. The 2016 US Presidential race is all set to go down to the wire. Republican Presidential nominee seems so confident of coming out victorious that he has reportedly announced that it will hold a ‘victory party’ for friends and supporters on election night signaling confidence that he will win the race to the White House on November 8. Donald Trump has shown immense confidence of winning the Presidential polls despite all the controversy regarding his private life and the accusations from several women of Trump having made unsolicited advances towards them.
Donald Trump appears to have the backing of the Indian community in the US. Just recently he hosted a show which featured Bollywood stars and dancers. Be that as it may despite the fact that Hillary Clinton has the support of President Barack Obama, she has not taken a huge lead over Trump in the run-up to the elections.
Obama has cautioned the Americans that the country’s very future was at stake. Time is indeed running out for Hillary Clinton as Obama tries to sway the undecided voters to her side. Clinton has painted a picture of Trump as a person who favors racial discrimination, is thick-skinned and so unpredictable that he could “start a real war instead of a Twitter war”. Be that as it may the entire world is looking forward to the result of the US presidential polls which is a few days ahead. Will the most powerful nation in the world be ruled by a President who at times seems unpredictable or will the US have a woman as it’s president who appears to be a better choice. Only the citizens of US will have a say in it.
