Youth are the future. The important resource of our nation as commonly commented by the people around the world. For many countries, the young population or youth is considered as the most important deciding factor that will lead the progressive growth of the country. It is said that any country that invests in its youth at an early age can definitely see returns manifold as the years go by.
India today is considered as the most watched country by the other countries because of its strength. It has the potential to uplift the young generation for the betterment and influence its calibre to the maximum.

Our Youth! With more than half of the population of our country being below 30 years of age, India is at its prime over other countries. Although being one of the largest democratic countries in the world, we are still engulfed with the perils of poverty, corruption, crime, sexual abuse, unemployment and rampant violence spread over the country.
Believe it or not, the youth of our country have the power to change this situation drastically. To do so they need to be well equipped, not with arms and armour, but knowledge , wisdom, motivation, discipline , perseverance and self-confidence. They should be encouraged to take up challenges and build in them strong will power to fight against all inequalities. Youngsters could be developed into good leaders of tomorrow if we tap their potential at the earliest. The only person who can bring tremendous changes among the youth are the educators around the world.
Today, Don Bosco institutions around the world follow the “Preventive System” a system wherein the youngsters, irrespective of any religion, caste, creed or race, are given equal opportunities to showcase their talents and face any difficulties in life. It’s all because of the founder and friend of the young, Don Bosco. Similarly the education system in the country should aim at teaching the young the importance of differentiating right from wrong. They need to be empowered and motivated to join the system for good governance. The educators must strongly stress on the discipline such as getting on to the shoes of the other person, take care of the wellbeing, learn from your experience, kind, humble, loving and caring.
Our country’s youth are the real problem solvers and have the zeal to achieve from the start. They are capable enough to give identity to themselves and can create their own image. However, they will not be able to achieve this without the support of the society. Society should play a leading role by implementing ample number of opportunities for the youngsters such as mobile library, door to door counselling, amusement parks, talent search programmes by the community centres free of cost, career guidance talk, etc. Not forgetting the most important habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to us.
Let us teach the youth to do things through love and not through constraints. Let me sum up with this beautiful quote “In youth we learn, in age we understand.”
