The world is built on relationships. Our world revolves around relationships. Human life is all about relationship. As a matter of fact one can hardly live on the planet without having some sort of relationship with the others. Relationships are built by strong emotional bonding. Hence they fall under various categories. The most appropriate definition of the word “relationship” would be the way in which two or more people, groups, countries, etc., talk to, behave toward, and deal with each other. A relationship can also be of a romantic or a sexual type between two adults. Then there is the blood relationship between members of a family as also a relationship through marriage between husband and wife. All these relationships have a strong bonding.
When you’re in a relationship, you’re emotionally involved or at least connected in some way. If you’re related to somebody — your parents, your aunts and uncles, your cousins — you share a family relationship with them. On a broader aspect one speaks of a relationship between neighbours, between people living in different states in the country as also relationship between two nations. A relationship can be either good or bad. Our country’s relationship with our neighbouring country Pakistan for example is not very good.
The common relationship that affects our lives is between a girl and a boy, a husband and a wife, a doctor and a patient, a business relationship etc. etc. However the strongest feeling of a relationship could well be found in a love relationship between a boy and a girl. The definition of love is a feeling of deep affection, passion or strong liking for a person or thing. The English expression, “Falling in love,” is significant because no one rises in love or climbs in love. You fall in love, because something of who you are has to go. What is the meaning of true love? Some people think love is just talking kind, warm and cute words to each other, love is just telling “I love you”, is just being together and having fun. However love is caring of someone you love, being with him/her when the person needs your help, doing everything to protect and look after the one you love. Can you define love? The definition of love is vague and yet, so simple. All of us fall in love, but how many of us understand the true meaning of love? The meaning of love can’t really be explained, it has to be experienced. Love mean sacrifices and pain. You know you’re in love when you have a reason to come back home, a reason to justify your existence. You’ll know you’re in love when you can’t imagine living without this one person and you’ll do anything to have him/her by your side. You cannot see love, you cannot feel love, but you can feel a bond when you’re around this one person, and you just cannot explain it but it makes you feel special and taken care of. Love is what makes you want to wake up tomorrow. Love is a religion that you really begin to believe in. Love is something that just can’t be explained in a thousand words, but it can bring tears of joy in your eyes when you read a letter of a hundred words from your lover. Strange, isn’t it?
However a love relationship like any other relationship is fragile. It can easily be broken. Broken relationships is the bane of society. It has led to broken marriages, broken homes, despair, and in extreme cases even suicide. There are ways to mend a broken relationship if only those involved show the willingness to do so. One of the most important reasons for a broken relationship is cheating by either of the partner.
