Yoga is universal in its appeal

World Yoga day will be observed on June 21 with the Goa government having arranged a programme for students. Yoga is not restricted to any religion. If this was the case it would not have been popular across the globe. It is universal in its appeal. Yoga should be introduced in schools and colleges throughout the country. The United Nations General Assembly declared June 21st as International Yoga Day. The declaration was done after the call by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. He called on the UN General Assembly to adopt June 21 as International Yoga Day so that people all over the world benefit from yoga. The declaration of International Day of Yoga is a great moment for India. This resolution has been adopted under the Global Health and Foreign Policy by the UN General Assembly to provide a holistic approach to the people worldwide for their health and well-being.  
Yoga is necessary to create a great level of consciousness and positively change the lifestyle of the people. It will celebrated at an international level by organizing yoga training campus, yoga competitions and other activities to enhance the awareness of yoga benefits.
International Yoga Day will be celebrated to let people know that regular yoga practice leads to better mental, physical and intellectual health. It positively changes the lifestyle of the people and increases the level of well-being.
