Battlegrounds Mobile India’s upcoming 4.4 update is already creating massive excitement online as fresh leaks reveal a completely new themed experience. The popular “Ancient Secret” Pharaoh mode is expected to be replaced by a Roman and Greek mythology-inspired mode called “Heroes Crown”. According to leaks, the highly anticipated BGMI 4.4 update could arrive on May 20, 2026.
The update is expected to visually transform several iconic Erangel locations including Yasnaya Polyana, Ruins, Ferry Pier, and Mylta into massive mythical battlegrounds inspired by ancient civilizations. One of the biggest highlights is the rumored return of the Floating Island, now redesigned as the “Crown’s Abode”. The location is expected to become the hottest drop spot in the game.

Leaks also suggest players landing on the floating structure may receive extra revive opportunities similar to previous themed modes. A new “Sun Chariot” vehicle is also rumored to appear, allowing players to challenge bosses and secure high-tier loot.
The update may further introduce special “Trials” for squads. Spartan’s Trial could focus on defending battle flags, while Icarus’ Trial may feature parkour challenges with temporary flying abilities. Achilles’ Trial is tipped to bring high-speed phantom hunts with unique combat powers.
Apart from the themed additions, tactical gameplay could see major changes with the Panzerfaust and JS9 SMG reportedly becoming standard ground loot across classic maps. New utility items like the Spartan Flag and Heart of Fury are also expected to shake up the existing gameplay meta.
