Dharmendra passes away at 89, industry pays tribute to ‘the He-Man of Bollywood’

Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, famously known as Hindi cinema’s original ‘He-Man’, passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. His last rites are taking place at Mumbai’s PawanHans crematorium, with family and several film industry colleagues paying their respects.

Earlier this month, the actor had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai and was discharged on November 12, following a period of illness.

In a quite coincidence, the poster of his upcoming film ‘Ikkis’ was released today, now standing as one of his final on-screen appearances. The war drama is scheduled for a December release.
