Gujarat ATS Nabs Three ISIS-Linked Terrorists in Ahmedabad for Plotting Attacks Across India

In a major anti-terror operation, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Sunday arrested three suspected ISIS-linked terrorists from Ahmedabad for allegedly conspiring to carry out coordinated attacks across the country.

According to officials, the accused had been under ATS surveillance for nearly a year. They were nabbed while allegedly attempting to exchange and supply weapons as part of their terror plans. The operation was conducted following a tip-off about their movement and activities within Gujarat.

“The terrorists had come to Gujarat to exchange weapons and were planning attacks at multiple locations across India,” the Gujarat ATS said in an official statement. Investigators revealed that the three suspects belong to two different ISIS modules, and were in the process of finalizing logistics for the planned strikes.

Officials said that efforts are underway to identify their potential targets, locations, and accomplices. Digital devices and communication equipment have been seized from the suspects to trace their wider network.

Senior ATS officers confirmed that the arrests have averted a possible major terror attack, adding that interrogations are ongoing and more arrests may follow. Further details will be disclosed after the preliminary investigation is completed.
