He survived an early reprieve when a catch off his bat, taken by Jordan Cox, was ruled to have touched the ground. Sundar made full use of that lifeline, anchoring the innings with a composed unbeaten fifty, striking five boundaries and ensuring GT crossed the 150 mark in a challenging final.

Now, with a target of 156 in a high-pressure final, RCB are chasing a historic second consecutive IPL title.
