Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit India on December 4 and 5 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian state news agencies reported on Friday, citing the Kremlin. The Ministry of External Affairs later confirmed the trip in an official statement.
During his visit, Putin will meet PM Modi in New Delhi, and President Droupadi Murmu will receive him and host a banquet in his honour.

The MEA said the visit will give both nations an opportunity to review ongoing bilateral cooperation and outline the next phase of their partnership. Both sides are also expected to discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest as part of the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit.
Officials added that the discussions will centre on the current state of the partnership and plans to deepen long-standing ties.
Putin last visited India in 2021, while PM Modi travelled to Moscow for the annual summit in July last year.
