A 33-year-old woman was allegedly sexually harassed by an unidentified man while out on her routine morning walk with her dog in Indiranagar on Saturday.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 11:57 a.m. when the woman was walking along a residential stretch in the area. In her complaint, she stated that a man, believed to be around 30 years old, approached her from behind, called out “Madam,” and when she turned, he allegedly exposed himself and began masturbating in front of her.
Shocked by the incident, the woman immediately fled the spot and returned home. She later informed her sister, who advised her to approach the police. A complaint was subsequently filed at the Indiranagar Police Station.
Based on her statement, police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to acts of public indecency and sexual harassment.
The accused has been described as a man with black hair, wearing a brown polo shirt and grey zip-up shorts at the time of the incident.
Authorities have launched a probe and are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.
