The National Testing Agency’s (NTA) new office on Minto Road in Delhi will be secured by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) following the controversy over the NEET-UG question paper leak and alleged administrative lapses.
Officials said 39 CISF personnel have been deployed to manage access control, frisking and screening at confidential areas on the premises. Security measures will include X-ray baggage screening machines and Door Frame Metal Detectors at entry and exit points.

The NTA has shifted its confidential and sensitive operations from its earlier office in Okhla to a 55,000-square-foot facility in the Government of India Press Building. Confidential areas have been demarcated, with movement and operations to be strictly monitored.
The security upgrade follows a CBI chargesheet that pointed to inadequate checking and frisking of experts entering or leaving the confidential section during the NEET-UG paper leak. The report also noted the absence of a dedicated live CCTV monitoring control room.
The NTA is additionally working on stricter access controls, encryption, tamper-evident storage and cyber-incident response systems. It is also in the process of appointing a dedicated chief information security officer and continuing independent cybersecurity audits.
