Ram Janmabhoomi Trust Convenes Crucial Meeting as Donation Embezzlement Probe Intensifies
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is set to hold a crucial meeting on Monday amid the ongoing investigation into allegations of embezzlement of donations, with the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra expected to be a key point of discussion.
According to sources, the meeting will be held at Mani Ram Chhawni, the monastery of Trust president Nritya Gopal Das, marking the first official gathering of the Trust since allegations of financial irregularities came to light.
Trust Treasurer Govind Dev Giri has directed all regular and ex-officio members to attend the meeting, where the Trust’s future course of action and governance issues are likely to be deliberated.
Among the ex-officio members expected to participate are Union Home Ministry Additional Secretary Prashant Lokhande, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Prasad, Ayodhya District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi and former Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Nripendra Mishra.
The meeting comes at a critical juncture as investigators continue to examine allegations related to the misuse of donations received by the Trust. The outcome of the deliberations, particularly regarding the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, is expected to have significant implications for the administration of the Trust and its ongoing activities.
