Satellite Images Allegedly Show Iranian Military Aircraft at Pakistan Airbase Amid Tehran-Washington Talks

Fresh high-resolution satellite imagery sourced from Vantor appears to support claims that Pakistan has been hosting at least one Iranian Air Force military aircraft even as it projects itself as an independent mediator in discussions between Tehran and Washington held in Islamabad.

The satellite image, dated April 25, 2026, reportedly shows an Iranian Air Force C-130 aircraft stationed near a hangar at Nur Khan Airbase in Pakistan. The strategic airbase, also known as PAF Base Nur Khan or Chaklala Airbase, is situated in Chaklala, Rawalpindi, within the Islamabad-Rawalpindi metropolitan region, roughly 10 kilometres from central Islamabad.

The latest imagery appears to reinforce an earlier report by CBS News, which claimed that Iran had dispatched multiple aircraft, including reconnaissance and intelligence planes, to Pakistan’s Nur Khan Airbase shortly after US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire in April.

The developments have sparked concern in Washington. Responding to the CBS News report, US Senator Lindsey Graham reportedly conveyed his distrust of Pakistan directly to US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine.

The alleged presence of Iranian military aircraft at a key Pakistani airbase is likely to intensify scrutiny over Islamabad’s role in regional diplomacy and its ties with Tehran amid ongoing geopolitical tensions involving the United States and Iran.
