In a major boost to Telangana’s global ambitions, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has agreed to partner with the state government in developing Bharat Future City as a world-class urban centre. The announcement was made by the Telangana government following high-level discussions at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri met a ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday, where both sides explored avenues for strategic collaboration. Touq Al Marri expressed the UAE government’s willingness to work closely with Telangana and proposed the formation of a joint task force comprising officials from both governments to ensure swift and effective implementation of the project.
According to a release from the Chief Minister’s Office, the discussions focused on expanding cooperation in major infrastructure initiatives, with Bharat Future City emerging as a flagship project. The partnership is expected to bring global expertise, investment, and innovation to the proposed city, positioning it as a leading international destination for business, technology, and sustainable urban development.
The collaboration marks a significant step forward in Telangana’s efforts to attract international partnerships and accelerate large-scale infrastructure growth.
