PANJIM: A total of 13,341 students will appear for the XII Std examination conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education beginning March 2 till March 19.
In a statement to the press, the Board has assured that all necessary arrangements have been done to ensure the smooth sailing of the examinations.
“All necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of the exam have been done. The Students will be given additional ten minutes to read the question paper prior to writing the answers. At the end of the examination additional five minutes will be given for fixing the hollow craft sticker on the main and supplementary answer sheets and for filling up other details on the main answer book,” the Board has said.
“The Conductors and Observers at those centres are given special instructions for the smooth conduct of the examination. Cases of malpractices will severely be dealt with. Vigilance committees with two members each in North, Central and South Zone have been appointed. The examination will be conducted at 15 centres,” the Board further said.
The Seating arrangement for the students of various centres in the state is as follows:
BICHOLIM: Seat numbers from 50001 to 50592 (all students) will answer at the main examination centre at Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary School, Bordem, Bicholim-Goa.
However, the following candidates will appear at the Sub centre Radhakrishna Vidhyalay High School Near Shivaji Maidan, Bicholim Goa as per the dates shown against their numbers.
On 02/03/2013, seat numbers 50198 to 50372 to answer English. On 04/03/2013, seat numbers 50198 TO 50297 will answer Accountancy. On 07/03/2013, seat numbers 50198 to 50297 will answer Marathi/Urdu.
On the remaining dates all the candidates will appear at the main centre.
Suresh D Naik of Shri Shantadurga Hr Sec School, Bicholim is the conductor and Dileep N. Dhargalkar, St. Xavier’S Hr. Sec. School, Mapusa the Observer.
CANACONA: All students will answer at the Main centre — Government Higher Secondary School, Canacona.
From Arts stream, seats numbers 50593- 50713 (whole) and 50714- 50724 (students with exemptions).
From Commerce stream, seat numbers 50725-50810 (whole) and 50811- 50816 (with exemptions).
From Science stream, seat numbers 50817- 50888 (whole) and 50889-50895 (with exemptions)
From Vocational stream, 50896- 50937 (whole) and no students with exemptions.
Pooja M. Naik of Govt Hr. Sec. School, Mastimoll Canacona is the conductor and Hemant M. Kamat of Shri Nirankar Vidyalaya, Mashem, Canacona is the observer.
CUNCOLIM: At Cuncolim United Higher Secondary School, the main centre, Commerce and Vocational Students will answer.
From Commerce stream, seat numbers 51115 – 51297 (whole) and 51298 – 51303 (with exemptions) will answer.
From Vocational stream, seat numbers 51348 – 51460 (whole) and 51461 (with exemptions) will answer.
At the sub-centre at Maria Bambina Higher Secondary School, Arts and Science students will answer.
From Arts stream, seat numbers 50938 – 51109 (whole) and 51110 – 51114 (with exemptions) will answer.
From the Science stream, seat numbers 51304 – 51345 (whole) and 51346 – 51347 (with exemptions) will answer.
Damu Rayu Naik of Vivekanand Higher Secondary School, Balli, Cuncolim is the conductor while Subrai Prabhudessai is the observer.
MAPUSA: The Mapusa Centre has three examination centres — the main centre at Purushottam Walawalkar HSS (PWHSS), and two centres Khorlim, DM’s Higher Secondary School, Assagao and St Xavier’s College Mapusa.
At PWHSS main building, seat numbers 52265 to 52414 (Arts Stream) will answer and seat numbers 53157 to 53272 (Commerce stream) will answer. At the PWHSS vocational building, seat numbers 52415 to 52672 (Arts Stream) and seat numbers 53907 to 54019 (vocational stream) will answer.
At DM’s (All commerce students), Zairam Neugi HSS, seat numbers 52573 to 52692 will answer, at the DM’s, PVS KUSHE HSS seat numbers 52693 to 52922 will answer and at Naguexa Gaundalkar Jr College of Arts seat numbers 52923 to 53156 will answer.
At St Xavier’s HSS, Mapusa Main Building, seat numbers 53273 to 53492 and 53493 to 53686 (Science stream) will answer. While at St Xavier’s HSS Arts Building seat numbers 53687 to 53906 (vocational) will answer.
Vithal Vernekar of P. Walawalkar Hr. Sec. School, Khorlim, Mapusa is the conductor while, Sumant S. Kanyalkar, of R. & P Salkar Higher Sec. School,Charao is the observer.
MARGAO: For the Margao Centre, at Govt.Multipurpose HSS, Margao seat numbers 54702 to 54951 (Science) 55541 to 55717 (Vocational) and 55106 to 55203 (Science, From 11th March 2013 onwards)
At Chowgule HSS, Margao seat numbers, 54952 to 55105 (Science), 54985 to 63293 (Science) and 55204 to 55255 (Science, From 11th March 2013 onwards) and 55391 to 55540 (Vocational)

HARMAL: All students will answer at Harmal Panchkroshi HSS, with Arts seat numbers 56885 To 56970 (whole) and 56971 To 56973 (with exemptions), Commerce stream, 56974 To 57051 (whole) and 57052 with exemptions, science stream, 57053 To 57101(whole) and 57102 (with exemptions).
PERNEM: At Pernem centre, all students will answer at Government HSS with arts seat numbers 57195– 57249 and 57281 (exemptions), commerce, 57250– 57280, 57282 – 57315 and 57316 (with exemptions), science 57317 – 57352 (whole) and 57353 (exemptions) and vocational: 57354 – 57470 and 57471.
However, Commerce Stream 4th March 2013 subject Accountancy Paper to be answered in Bhagwati H/s Pernem – Goa; Arts & Commerce Stream 5th March 2013 subject Hindi Paper to be answered in Bhagwati H/s Pernem – Goa and Commerce Stream 9th March 2013 subject Business studies Paper to be answered in Bhagwati H/s Pernem – Goa

SANQUELIM: Seat numbers 5927 to 60045 will answer in Bhumica HSS Parye, seat numbers 60046 to 60321 in Progress High School Sanquelim.
Whereas, seat numbers 60355 to 60546 (Science), seat numbers 60322 to 60354 (Commerce), seat numbers 60547 to 60664 (Vocational) will all answer in Governmemnt HSS, Sanquelim.
VASCO: In Vasco, seat numbers 60665 to 60810 (Arts) will answer in St Andrews HSS, Vasco, seat numbers 60811 to 61168 (Commerce) will answer in MES HSS Zuarinagar, seat numbers 61169 to 61455 (Science) will answer in Deepvihar HSS, Vasco and seat number 61456 to 61676 (Vocational) will answer in Government HSS, Baina.
However, All candidates opting Vocational Subjects to be answered in Govt.H.S.S.,Baina.Exept for seat Nos. 61576 to 61668 to answer English communication Skill and General Foundation Course at Govt. H.S.,Mangor Hill Vasco and also exempted candidates No. 61671,61673,61674 and 61676 to answer General Foundation Course at Govt.High School.,Mangor Hill,Vasco.
