MAPUSA: Calangute police arrested 15 persons from Telangana for assaulting four persons, including a hotel manager and a room boy, in Calangute, at around 8 pm on Monday.
While all the four victims suffered injuries in the assault, two of them are reportedly in serious condition at Goa Medical College Hospital, Bambolim.
Calangute PI Jivba Dalvi identified the victims as Remy Rebello (room boy), Abhilash Patil (manager), Raju and Jayesh Bhandari. The assault reportedly occurred outside the Jude Guest House in Tivaivado Calangute.
The assailants are identified as K Darshan, A Shrinivas, Prashant Reddy, Sayyed Usman, Sayyed Badiruddin, Purushottam Reddy, Narasimha Reddy, S Ajay, D Shrinivas, C Krishna, M Kiran, B Anjaniyelu, Devanand Anjaya, and Anjanaih Baliah.
All accused persons are currently in police lock up and will be produced for remand on Wednesday.
Police have registered offences against the accused under Sections 143, 147, 148, r/w 149, 323 and 307 of IPC. Police have also attached a minibus which was used by the accused persons.
PSI Kirtidas Gaude is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Jivba Dalvi.
