2 girls held on suspicion of prostitution

Porvorim Police on Thursday arrested two girls, suspected to be prostitutes, and their agent at Porvorim.
According to Porvorim Police, after they received information that two girls and their agent Moksudur Rehman Laxkar (26) of West Bengal, but residing at Colva, are waiting alongside the Chogm road near Angels Resort at Porvorim, PI Devendra Gaad rushed to the spot and arrested the trio.
Police further informed that the trio was produced before Judicial Magistrate First Class Mapusa on Thursday afternoon. Accused Laxkar has been remanded to seven days police custody, while the girls have been sent to Protective Home at Merces. PI Devendra Gad is investigating the case.
