MARGAO: Fatorda police arrested two persons on Friday for allegedly slashing the face of a paan vendor with a paper-cutter and threatening to kill him on Thursday night. The accused were produce before a local court which remanded them in judicial custody for ten days.
According to a complaint lodged by one Prem Kumar Chandraban from Agalli in Fatorda, the duo Niranjan Arlekar, a resident of Porvorim along with Sandip Honavarkar, a resident of Junta Quarters, Pajifond, Margao came to his father’s gadda situated at Bolshe Circle last night.
They took cigarettes from Kumar, but refused to pay and abused him, before slashing his face with a paper-cutter. They also reportedly threatened him, who received a deep cut, that they would kill him if he complained to the police.
