PONDA: Two persons Shan Kanju (29), resident of Usgao and Tanveer Sheikh (28), resident of Sawantwadi, Maharashtra were arrested allegedly over molestation charges based upon a complaint of a victim girl.
Police also seized the car of the accused involved in the incident.
According to Ponda Police, on Sunday, the Panjim-based victim girl was proceeding towards her residence after visiting a farm house at Usgao along with her family, in a car driven by her brother.
When they reached at Kundaim, the accused started following them and overtook the car of victim. An argument occurred over overtaking issue. The victim’s brother and the two accused occupants from the car came out of the car and engaged in altercation with each other. In the process, the accused also pushed the victim girl and allegedly molested her. The accused fled the spot after the locals came to the rescue of family. Later, based on a complaint of the victim girl, police registered an offence of Molestation against the two accused.
