3 booked for assault, theft

MARGAO: On a complaint from Shanti Mitani, Chandor, the Maina-Curtorim police on Monday registered an offence of wrongful restraint, assault and theft against Laxavathi Ganvkar and her two daughters from Guddi, Parroda. Mitani said as she was riding from Margao to Chandor the accused persons with their common intention wrongfully restrained her at the four road junction at Nessai, Paroda, and threw chilly powder on her face. She stated a danda was hit on her head causing injuries and her scooter containing Rs 3,000 cash was stolen. No arrests have been made yet.
