3 workers arrested for theft

Ponda Police on Tuesday arrested three workers on charges of stealing spare parts in Bethora Industrial Estate, Ponda.
Police have identified the accused as Tuna Sukhadas (Orissa), Rajesh Sharma and Throlesha Kumar, presently residing at Datta Gad, Bethora.
According to Ponda Police, Tuna Sukhadev was employed with a private company which was undertaking painting contracts of ceiling fans spare parts from a neighbouring industry.
On Tuesday afternoon, Sukhadev was caught red-handed while stealing some material and handed over to Ponda Police. During interrogation, Sukhadev disclosed the names of two of his associates involved in the crime.
According to Ponda Police, the accused have confessed to the crime, which was going on since the last two years.
Police informed that the trio till date committed thefts amounting to Rs 42,000. Police have recovered five stolen fan blades from the accused.
