Colva Sarpanch Angela Borges has refuted all the allegations leveled against her by five members of the panchayat body.
Borges sought to know what sort of development was taken by the Panchayat during two and half year period before she took over the reigns of office just a year ago.
“During my short tenure, I tried to solve the burning garbage problem by installing a recyling station. Composting pits had also been set up to tackle garbage. The fish market with the help of ZP was also taken up, besides drains”, she said, while reacting to the allegations.

Borges said that she ensured that there was no corruption in the body during her tenure, adding that the Panchayat had a smooth functioning without any problem. “The people who are pointing accusing fingers at me should realize that no development had taken place in the village during their tenure as Sarpanch”, Borges asserted.
