PORVORIM: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane told the House that a total quantum of 1, 60,570 doses of vaccines are allotted to the State of which 90,590 doses have been utilized as on March 15, 2021.
In a written reply to a question tabled by Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte, Rane said that as on March 15, 2021, a total of 69,980 doses of vaccines are remaining in the State.

Rane further said that the quantum for the next batch of vaccine for the States is decided by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, depending upon the vaccine utilization and stock availability in the State as per eVIN portal. He said that an e-mail in this regard has been sent to Ministry of Health & Family Welfare requesting for the next lot of vaccine.
Goa government’s special community health survey conducted to ascertain spread of COVID-19 infection across the State had covered 4.57 lakh households.
Rane in a written reply said that during the survey, held during the three days of April 2020, 5,271 persons were found with Influenza like illness, which amounted to 1.51 per cent of the surveyed people.
The survey was conducted between April 13-15, 2020 when COVID-19 was at its peak and Anganwadi staff and other frontline staff were assigned to go house-to-house for the survey.
Rane said that during the survey, 740 people were found to be symptomatic of which 720 were tested, but none of them were found positive for COVID-19 infection.
Rane said that as on March 15, 2021 out of the registered 17,516 frontline workers, 12,798 doses have been administered in Government Hospitals/Centres and 09 doses in Private Hospitals; and only one severe AEFI (Adverse Event Following Immunization) has been reported (who has fully recovered) as on date.
