PANJIM: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Goa has demanded an investigation in all real estate deals in the State in the last three months alleging that BJP leaders and its close supporters have converted black money into other forms.
Speaking to the media, AAP Convener Valmiki Naik said BJP leaders were aware of demoeitisation prior to the announcement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8.
“We demand an investigation in all real estate deals in Goa in the last three months, especially of the people who are close to ruling BJP and its leaders,” Naik said.
He said that a BJP leader in Gujrat tweeted on November 5 that Reserve Bank of India is changing notes of Rs 500 and 1000. Naik also mentioned that Rs 3 crore was deposited in BJP’s bank account in West Bengal prior to the announcement by the PM. “BJP leaders and supporters have converted huge cash into other forms,” he said.
AAP suspects that demonetisation will not solve the purpose mentioned by the PM. He said it has become easier to store cash in bulk with Rs 2000 notes.
“In the name of demonetisation to fight black money, a massive scam is being played out in the country. Ordinary people are facing hardships while the real culprits, the black money hoarders and influential quarters linked to the political powers have managed to stash their cash,” he said.
