Following his victory in the elections to the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP), AAP leader Jack Sukhija paid tribute to his grandfather, Jack de Sequeira, by visiting his statue.
Sukhija said the visit was a gesture of respect to the ideals of service and dedication towards Goa that his grandfather stood for. He described the moment as symbolic of carrying forward a legacy of public service.

According to Sukhija, the tribute also reflected a commitment to safeguarding the interests and identity of the people of Panjim while working for the development of the city.
Dr Jack de Sequeira, often referred to as the “Father of the Opinion Poll,” played a pivotal role in Goa’s political history and is widely remembered for his efforts to protect the state’s distinct identity.
