MAPUSA: The Mapusa police booked Aldona Panch Pranesh Naik and three of his associates for allegedly threatening a villager with dire consequences.
While three of the panchayat member’s workers have been arrested, Naik is on the run.

Police stated that Swapnil Pednekar, aged 23, a resident of Aldona complained that he was taken in a car by the panch and three others and was threatened with dire consequences over some previous issues.
Acting on the complaint, the police identified Dakshesh Kurpe, Vicky Karande and Suraj Yadav, all aged 22 and natives of Pune, Maharashtra and arrested them. An FIR under sections 342, 323, 506(ii) r/w 34 IPC has been registered against all the accused.
