Senior Congress leader Amit Patkar on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), alleging that the party has no real presence on the ground in Goa and is only working to divide opposition votes.
Patkar said that AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, appears to be targeting the Congress while avoiding any criticism of the BJP. “I don’t see any presence of AAP on the ground. The party led by Kejriwal is here only to split opposition votes,” he said.

He pointed out that Kejriwal has been visiting Goa and attacking the Congress at every public meeting, but has not made a single statement against the BJP. “Except for Congress and the Goa Forward Party (GFP), not a single opposition party is attacking the BJP. Who are these parties supporting?” Patkar questioned.
The Congress leader alleged that such selective criticism raises serious doubts about the intent of certain political parties in Goa, especially during election time, and claimed that the BJP is being indirectly benefited by these tactics.
