An Activist Demands Immediate Arrest of Sarpanch Narendra Gaunkar Over Alleged Assault in Sanvordem

An activist has called for the immediate arrest of Sarpanch Narendra Gaunkar from Kaly, Sanvordem, following an alleged assault on Prashanti Kuttikkar at her residence in Sanvordem on March 19. According to the activist, the Sarpanch, along with three accomplices — Rupesh Naik, Laximan Borkar, and Deepak Naik — physically and verbally attacked Prashanti’s husband before entering her home and assaulting her as well.

The activist stated that after the assault, Prashanti immediately rushed to the police station to file a complaint. She was then sent for a medical examination at Sanvordem Health Centre. However, the activist claimed that Prashanti only received basic medication at the health center and was not provided proper medical care. It wasn’t until March 20 that Prashanti was admitted to the South Goa District Hospital in Fatorda, where doctors discovered fractures in her nose and ribs.
