PANJIM: The Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) conducted raids at three different places and recovered a cocktail of drugs, collectively valued at Rs 1.16 lakh in the international market.
Three drug peddlers, including a Nigerian were arrested and besides drugs, their belongings were also attached for investigation.
Acting on information, the team laid a trap near Blue Sea View Bar and Restaurant, Mandrem and caught red-handed 33year-old Nigerian Chidi Osita Okonkwo with 3.20 grams of cocaine. The drugs are worth Rs 22,400.
In the second seizure, ANC officials received information that a 40 year-old native of Uttar Pradesh would meet his client with drugs concealed in a plastic bag near a car showroom at Margao.
Accordingly a trap was laid and Dinesh Kumar Mishra was caught with 2.10 grams of Ganja worth Rs 20,100.
In the raid at Arambol, the team nabbed local Caitan Rodrigues alias Caitu aged 44 and seized 740 grams charas. Caitu was also arrested last year by ANC for possession of narcotics and was on bail.
All the accused have been arrested under the NDPS Act and remanded.
