PANJIM: Anjuna-Caisua panchayat has written to various government authorities to stop issuing any order or licence to Curlies Shack and others that have been allegedly forging the panchayat NOC and other government records.
The panchayat’s action came following a complaint by a group of activist who exposed how individuals in Anjuna-Caisua panchayat jurisdiction have allegedly manipulated and falsified government records to submit at various government authorities and even to the NGT.
Activists have also filed a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) against the public servant, who in connivance with the establishment owners, altered government records.
“We have written to the concerned departments citing the forgery for their reference and have also written to ACB to take immediate action against those involved in fabricating and altering government records,” Anjuna-Caisua Deputy Sarpanch Patrick Savio Almeida said.
Almeida said that prima facie it has been established with documents received under RTI that there is forgery. Almeida said they have written to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister who is the Revenue minister, CRZ authority, deputy collector, Chief Secretary, Revenue Secretary etc.
“Right now we have written to ACB for immediate action, if they fail to conduct the inquiry in a time bound manner then we will be forced to approach the court,” Almeida said.
The activist had filed two complaints against Linet Nunes who owns Curlies Shack and Sadanand Morajkar for forging and altering government records to legalize their illegal structure at Anjuna which falls in the NDZ.
